Booking facility can be availed by General Permission department is responsible for granting Permission for use of the facilities owned by BMC as mentioned below.

General Permission department also issues Pet License.

There is a file maintained for each of the above mentioned facility along with the register to record the booking status of the facility.

For the booking of above mentioned facilities an applicant needs to submit an application at the counter of the Corporation addressing to the Commissioner.

The concerned department staff at the counter checks the availability of the facility on the requested day in the Booking Register.

If available then the department staff generates a challan as per the rate chart and gives it to the applicant for payment at the Bank.

The applicant deposits the amount at the bank and submits the bank receipt copy at the counter.

The department staff attaches the application along with the payment receipt in the concerned file and mentions his remarks in the note sheet.

The file is sent to the Commissioner for approval. The Commissioner approves in the note sheet and the file is sent back to the department staff in the counter.

The department staff enters the booking details in the General Permission software and generates an NOC and attaches the same in the file.

The file is sent to the Joint Municipal Commissioner (JMC) for final sign off.On sign off by the JMC, file is sent to the department staff at the counter.

The department staff updates the booking register and the applicant collects the NOC from the counter.

There is a Community Center in each ward from Ward No.-28 to 41 which can be booked by the permission of the Councilor but for booking of the playground at the community center the applicant needs to submit the application at the counter of the Corporation with the NOC from the Councilor and then the process for approval as mentioned above is followed.

To apply for a Pet License an applicant needs to submit an application to the department staff at the counter.

For renewal of the License a copy of the previous license is attached to the application form and submitted by the applicant.

The department staff generates a challan of Rs. 500/- and gives it to the applicant for payment at the Bank.

The applicant deposits the amount at the bank and submits the bank receipt copy at the counter.

The department staff attaches the application along with the payment receipt in the concerned file and mentions his remarks in the note sheet.

Vector Borne Diseases:

Bidhannagar Municipal Corporation is taking proactive measures to prevent the spread of Dengue and other vector-borne diseases by regularly inspecting the households and encouraging residents to maintain a clean environment.

• To promote public health and ensure the well-being of all residents under BMC area, the Dengue House to House Worker and Supervisor will visit each house once a week (on a designated day).
• Different kind of cleaning activities had been organized throughout the 41 wards of BMC area like Pulse mode activity, Government Institutions including Health Establishments, Education Centers, ICDS and other Government Establishments throughout the year to combat Dengue and other mosquito-borne diseases.

IEC:

• Distribution of letters and leaflet to the citizens with an appeal to extend co-operation to the House to House Members & Supervisors visiting the houses for dengue surveillance’ under Bidhannagar Municipal Corporation.
• Deployment of Patrolling team with the Auto and mike with the pre recorded message for awareness of the shop owners and vendors from Borough level. They also serve notices to the repeated defaulters.
• 3,75,000 Guppy Fishes had been released in different water bodies under Bidhannagar MC
• IEC also done through Miking in all the 41 wards of BMC by Auto
• Involving of School children in Dengue IEC by RBSK Doctors
• A meeting on Dengue awareness for celebration of Anti- Dengue month has been organised on 27.07.2024 at community level by involving MAS members and on 31.07.2024 at Prafullakanan School by involving School students.

Health Department is responsible for implementation of NUHM scheme along with various Center and State Funded Projects under the jurisdiction of BMC. Health Department also monitors functioning of Three (3) Hospitals (Two Maternity Hospitals and One General Hospital) under BMC and ensures supply of medicines and equipment to these hospitals along with salary processing and payment to the Hospital Staffs.
